Puppy Agreement

Puppies come to their new homes when they are at least 7 weeks old, preferably 8 weeks.

  1. The new owners agree to properly feed their dog at all times.
  2. The new owners agree to give the dog proper accommodation.
  3. The new owners agree to provide the dog with all the necessary veterinary care.  
    (yearly  veterinary checks and shots.)

All puppies are sold with this sales agreement paper for both the buyer and the seller.
The registration papers (UKC) (and ARBA at additional cost) are given to the new owner only
after the puppy is fully paid and after said papers have been received by the breeder from the
UKC/ARBA.

The breeder has the right to buy the puppy back for half the purchase price in case the new
owner wants to give the puppy away or euthanize it.

Problems can occur in any breed and if encountered, we shall give a substitute of the price as
follows:
  1. In case of wrong bite for owners who compete in the show ring with their dogs, the
    breeder pays back 1/3 of the price after the puppy has turned 18 months.
  2. In case of hip dysplasia, (when the dog is examined by a vet at 2 years of age, OFA)
    moderate hips get back 1/3 and severe 1/2 of the puppy price. Substitution must be
    asked within two months after a problem is discovered.
  3. Any other serious defects seriously affecting the dogs health and wellbeing are covered
    with 1/2 of the puppy price. (Defects have to be determined by Veterinarian and may not
    be due to mental or physical abuse. (IE food, fights, accidents, improper treatment and
    such)

Breeder must always be informed of any defect.

No dogs, show quality or not, are allowed to be cross bred.
In case of crossbreeding, the owner may forfeit the dog.
The kennel name of our dogs may not be used when dogs were crossbred accidentally or
otherwise.
The name "
Dutch Masters" will always remain with the dogs bred by us. Official name
changes are not allowed unless approved by us, the breeders.
An additional agreement can be made up at the time of purchase to stipulate or prevent the
further breeding of a dog.

When sold, our puppies have:
  1. Been examined by the vet and given their puppy shots. (older pups will have all final
    shots)
  2. Been de-wormed at least 3 times.
  3. The written promise to be forwarded the official pedigree papers if not in our possession
    yet.
  4. Been micro-chipped.
  5. A toy with the scent of the litter
  6. Food for the first couple of days
  7. A puppy collar and a leash

DNA typing is optional; can be requested for $50. When exported to Europe, DNA is
mandatory for registration purposes.

The reservation of a puppy is valid after we have received a deposit of $ 100. If the puppy
buyer doesn't pick up the puppy, the deposit will not be returned.

Out of USA puppies are shipped only when the puppy price is fully paid.
The new owners are allowed to choose their puppies. We will try however to make the best
match possible.

A dog can always be returned to us.
$ 100 deposit can be paid via PayPal when a litter touches the ground and when you have
been approved for the waiting list.
Additional Agreement for Law Enforcement or
Armed Forces
         
In order to serve the interests of our country, one puppy out of each litter can go to law enforcement, national
security or our armed forces for free.

Dog handlers are allowed to test for aptitude and choose their puppies.

All puppies are transferred with this sales agreement paper for both the new owner and the breeder.
The pedigree (UKC) can be ordered by the new owner upon litter registration by the breeder.

  1. The dog/puppy will go back to the breeder in case the new owner wants to give the puppy away or
    euthanize it.
  2. The dog will be returned to the breeder if the dog is not to be used by Law enforcement in active service
    unless the breeder allows the handler to keep the dog as his/her personal pet in which case half of the
    normal price is owed to the breeder.
  3. Law enforcement and Armed forces are not allowed to euthanize the dog at the end of its faithful service.
  4. If the dog is not allowed to retire with his handler, the dog will be returned to the breeder.
  5. The dog can only be sold with approval of the breeder.
